Submissions

iBluegrass Magazine will accept unsolicited material for review and submission for publication. At this time, we are unable to pay for use of submitted material we select for publication. Please follow this guideline for submitting material to us:

ARTICLES: All articles to be considered for publication must be sent via E-mail or neatly typed and snail-mailed to the address below. The authors of articles selected are requested to provide bio information and an optional picture. Submissions become the property of iBluegrass Magazine

MEDIA: Submitted media must be on either CD or cassette tape, preferably on CD. If the material is presented for airplay consideration on Pickin' In The Pines or LadyGrass, it MUST be a CD. Material must be bluegrass or derrivatives/expansions thereof. All varieties of bluegrass (second/third-generation music, newgrass, jazzgrass, contemporary, progressive, or traditional) are acceptable. Please clearly indicate whether material is for review, airplay consideration or both. Please note our Review Policy.

VIDEO: Video must be submitted in VHS format only. Video must be primarily of a bluegrass nature, as a documentary, a festival taping, a band performance or an instructional video. All taped material must be presented by the owner of the material or their agent. Commercial videos to be reviewed must be an identical copy of the video as offered for direct sale to the public.

BAND PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL: To be listed in the performers section of iBluegrass, each performer/band should send to iBluegrass a Black and White photo and a bio of the band, and an Email address where the performer may be contacted. If the band has a website, please include the URL. Submissions of this material are preferred in electronic format. Please do not send schedules, as we are unable to publish such (although the performer may add them directly to iBluegrass in the Activities section.)

FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: iBluegrass will list your festival at no charge. Ugrade options are available. Festival submissions for a free listing must be submitted from the iBluegrass website festival page here.

PRINTED MEDIA: iBluegrass will accept publicity pictures and similar material, as well as festival flyers or announcements, in printed form. Books and magazines may also be submitted in their bound form. All other material, including manuscripts, must be submitted electronically via Email to submissions@ibluegrass.com.

OTHER MATERIAL: iBluegrass Magazine will review other bluegrass-related products, including instruments, however, you must first make arrangements with iBluegrass Magazine by contacting us at submissions@ibluegrass.com.

Any material that is to be returned to the submitter must be submitted with a return envelope/package and sufficient postage.

Submissions that do not meet these guidelines are not likely to be considered for review or accepted for publication.
