Here in Louisiana,
lagniappe (pronounced LAHN-yop) means
a little something extra. We thought you might enjoy this photo of
a Fair to Middlin’ jam session at Artwalk prior to Festival International
with a new musical friend, David Brown, who was
visiting Lafayette from upstate New York.

The washtub bass: part musical instrument, part primitive laundry appliance.
I’m not sure Lloyd Loar, famed Gibson acoustic engineer from the 1920s,
would have approved!
