Votes best in Chicago by Songwriters association, Record and master all preformers Home Kookin' combines the angelic voice and stylistic guitar of Erin OToole, and the untamed fiddle, mandolin and bass interpretations of Jeff Sachs. Erin O'Toole began her music career in the folk scene of St. Louis. She moved from St. Louis to Columbia, Missouri and worked her way around the Ozark Mountains as a singer and songwriter. She eventually moved to Illinois where she gigged with several bands in the Chicagoland area. Because of her angelic voice and strong harmonies, she has done studio work with various members of the Chicago Songwriters Collective. She is currently utilizing her country roots by expanding her musical horizon in Bluegrass and folk with her duo HOME KOOKIN' Jeff Sachs has started his musical career playing bass fiddle with Wafarin Strangers where they toured Texas and released their first album. He has since worked with Unkle Pecos and released a second CD. He currently plays with several bands in the Chicagoland area and Wisconsin such as Sloppy Joe, Unkle Pecos, Country Funkins and Corn Meal . He has arranged much of the music for Home Kookin' where he plays mandolin and fiddle and Bass. Jeff, with his driving rhythmic foundation of slap bass, has shared the stage with Vassar Clemens, and along with Sloppy Joe shared the bill with a variety of acts such as Ralph Stanley, Leftover Salmon, Del McCurry, Little Feat, the late John Hartford, Peter Rowan, Sam Bush and others. Jeff and Erin have teamed up to create a unique blend of music, from Bar Favorites, to Bluegrass and Country , Home Kookin' is equally at home on the main stage, in lounges or other small venues as well as acting as roving minstrels in festivals or family outings, weddings and campgrounds. This duo will fulfill your musical needs, and cover a wide expanse of musical taste. They also can run full professional sound with their equipment either inside or outside.
