If you like Bluegrass Music, you will love McCoy Grass! From Rhonda Vincent, Dolly Parton, Doyle Lawson, Ralph Stanley, Jimmy Martin, Alison Krauss, to Bill Monroe, this band plays it all! Even some original material is added in the mix! McCoy Grass features the two sisters, Kelly (age 15) and Katelyn (age 12) and their band. The band, with years of experience behind them, can take the crowd on a ride in just one show. From the hard-driving bluegrass ballads with the banjo playing loud, to the slow, tear-jerking gospel songs that make you want to cry a little... this band can do it all!
But these girls aren't just any normal bluegrass players... their resume is quite impressive. A couple years ago, Honi Deaton invited Kelly to get up on stage and sing with her as a special guest. This inspired Kelly to start her own band, since she was already playing bluegrass. Katelyn and Kelly have been playing music for a long time, but they just got serious about it last year. Last summer, Ralph Stanley II invited them to play and sing with his band as special guests. Kelly met Don Rigsby and he taught her some more lessons on the mandolin. Kelly and Katelyn got to jam with Adam Steffey (Multiple Winner of the Mandolin Player of the Year Award) of Mountain Heart. Last October, Kelly and Katelyn were invited to come play at Renfro Valley, Kentucky with the legendary Bobby Osborne. (Check out the photo gallery!) How many teenagers can say that? These girls are just getting started and you will see a lot more of them...

McCoy Grass has just released a new CD called "The Best is Yet to Come" and it features 15 tracks, 3 written by Kelly and Katelyn, originals from Ralph Stanley, Bill Monroe, Rhonda Vincent, Dolly Parton, and The Osborne Brothers. Featured musicians include:
