This is the general performing area of this band.
They may perform in other areas as well.
The Ill-Mo Boys are a hard-core, traditional old-time string band. For the past twenty years, they have played Ozark dance tunes, 1930s-era country and pre-bluegrass music, string ragtime and blues tunes at bluegrass and folk festivals, concert venues, square dances, and music/dance camps coast to coast. The Ill-Mo Boys' emphasis on regional material and choice of instrumentation (i.e. use of the mandolin instead of clawhammer banjo) gives them a sound which is unique among the string bands active today.
