Danny Haller is a truly amazing musician and an inspiration to all who know him. Blind since birth, Danny has followed his bluegrass dream by teaching himself how to play the 5-string banjo - taping songs from the radio and playing them over and over trying to duplicate the sounds of the masters. After 25 years of playing banjo in local bands, Danny formed his own band, "Driving Blind Bluegrass", with outstanding musicians who share his love of Traditional Bluegrass in the footsteps of Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers and Flatt & Scruggs. Danny Haller's on-stage personality is dynamic and funny, and his hard-driving banjo style exciting. Together, with his singer-songwriter wife Inez, and his high energy Driving Blind Bluegrass band they produce the close harmonies and music that leave audiences saying: "Now THAT'S Bluegrass!!
Danny Haller was featured in the February (2004)edition of Bluegrass Unlimited, in an article entitled BLIND BLUEGRASS, written by Mike Zitz of Danny's hometown paper the Fredericksburg, VA, Free Lance Star. The article may also be found at www.dannyhaller.com Danny Haller's CD "Driving Blind" was played, on a rotation basis, on the national digital cable show, MUSIC CHOICE. Two tracks from the CD were played, "I Want to Be Loved" and an original written by Inez Haller "We'll Keep Bluegrass Alive"
