It's a New Year and we are continuing on with our singing, picking, & praising ministry for our LORD JESUS
CHRIST which has always been our purpose. GOD has blessed our groups efforts these past nine years in ways
we could never have guessed. Praise the LORD! Through HIS providence and guiding Hand, we have been
allowed many pleasure filled moments of music and fellowship!
Virgil Baker, our regular Dobro player, is currently playing in his son's, (Kevin B.) band in support of his effort to
get his musical career going, so we are enjoying the talents of Mr. Gerald Goforth, an excellent, long-time,
Dobroist, to fill that slot. He is doing a GREAT job! THANKS GERALD!
We also have been blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and play on stage with Mr. David Ray, Fiddler,
on several occasions. He adds great sound to ou presentation. We hope David continues to enjoy playing with
us for a long time. THANKS to you also DAVID!
SPECIAL NEWS! For the first time in our brief history, we are in a 'STUDIO' (that has the ability to adjust and
mix a project) in an attempt to record an 'Old Gospel Songs' Album on a CD for distribution. We sincerely hope
the producer will be able to salvage enough decent material from our efforts to provide a product worthy of
your listening pleasure. We are excited and anxious to hear the finished product.
DELTA BLUE is two-part harmony, five acoustic instrument group organized to praise JESUS CHRIST in song to
the best of our ability and allow the HOLY SPIRIT to lead us in our effort. We are dedicated laymen desiring to
satisfy the hunger of our active and incapacitated senior citizens for the "Good, Old Gospel Hymns", by playing
the old hymns and gospel music of previous generations; the ones not heard much anymore. Our repertoire
presently consists of enough material to enjoy for at least three hours, plus. Usual playing time approx one
hour.
For appearances at Nursing Homes, Veteran's Homes, Special Benefits & Fund Raisers, we DO NOT CHARGE A
MINIMUM FEE but, we ACCEPT DONATIONS and HONORARIUMS of any denomination from all venues in support
of our ministry to those venues who provide care for the aged and incapacitated but have no budget or
minimal finances for professional entertainment.
We have been active mostly in church services, settings for special music, senior church member groups,
revivals, Gideon group meetings, Gospel Supper Clubs, nursing homes, retirement facilities, outdoor picnics,
holiday celebrations, sunset services, fund-raisers for terminally ill, pantry restocking, benevolence donations,
